Ales & Axes - Beyond the Talk

Service Description

Join us for Beyond the Talk at Heavy Brewing in Gretna, NE for our next talk featuring Captain Danielle Landholm from the Omaha Fire Department. Captain Landholm will discuss and challenge fire service leaders to move beyond awareness and examine how policies, equipment, operational practices, workplace culture, and organizational systems can create unintended differences in health and safety outcomes. Using female firefighters as a lens for identifying these gaps, participants will examine where assumptions have created barriers and additional risk and how those effects can extend beyond individual members. We will also have an open, no-script discussion where firefighters come together to talk everything fire service. From training and tactics to leadership, culture, and the realities of the job, this session is about real conversations among those who live it every day. This roundtable isn’t just about sharing stories, it’s about strengthening the fire service community, building connections, and celebrating the people who keep it alive. Come ready to talk, learn, and reflect, firefighter to firefighter.
