Advanced Rope Rescue Technician

Midwest Misfits Technical Rescue and Training delivers an advanced rope rescue class that meets and exceeds NFPA 1006 (Awareness, Operations and Technician Level) and is built on more than just hands-on skills, it’s grounded in a deep understanding of physics and force dynamics within rope systems. Students don’t just learn how to rig; they learn why systems work, gaining insight into load distribution, mechanical advantage, friction, and system efficiency. By combining real-world application with the science behind the systems, we equip rescuers with the knowledge and confidence to operate more safely, make critical decisions under pressure, and push their rope rescue capabilities to the next level.
